Hosted voice communications provider blankets US, including Hawaii.
VoiceNation, the premier provider of voice services and disaster recovery solutions, announced today their achievement of the first 98 percent coverage rate for local number availability across the country, including Hawaii. Local number availability is a key requirement for businesses looking to enhance their phone service, as a local number builds customer loyalty and can eliminate long distance charges for inbound callers.
“Businesses want to outsource their voicemail system so they can have a full-featured corporate PBX-type phone system for a fraction of the cost of a traditional network,” said Jay Reeder, CEO of VoiceNation. “But these same businesses demand local number availability. They don’t want their customers to pay long distance, and they don’t like the impersonal nature of an 800 number. That’s why we launched this initiative. VoiceNation is the first to offer true nationwide coverage for local number access. That’s something that puts us far ahead of our competition.”
Other voice service providers claim around an 85% coverage rate, but tend to define that as “coverage of the top 100 metropolitan statistical areas.” This means that other hosted solution providers are focusing core markets, but largely ignoring local number coverage in the rest of the country. Jay is quick to reinforce this idea, pointing out, “Our competition loves to focus on the “Superbowl Cities” and other first-tier markets. They sometimes cover second-tier markets, but rarely will they go into third-tier areas. There are many states where a vendor only covers the main cities within a state, and some states are not even covered at all.”
Improved Service In Several States
VoiceNation has dramatically improved service in states that once had little to no local coverage, such as:
- Montana
- Idaho
- North Dakota
- South Dakota
- Nebraska
- Arkansas
- Mississippi
- Louisiana
- Wisconsin
- Hawaii
VoiceNation now offers local number coverage in all of these areas and is encouraging potential resellers to contact them.
Hawaii Local Number Availability
“I’m particular excited about our coverage in Hawaii, as to my knowledge, no other voice solution provider is in that market,” said Jay. “Having this level of coverage is particularly important from a reseller or agent perspective. Resellers want to tap the whole market, not just a piece of it. When a customer asks them if they can have a local number for their business, they want to say ‘yes,’ even if that customer is in Butte, Montana. And they really want to say ‘yes’ if they are dealing with a national chain. Imagine walking into a Pep Boys or a Starbucks and being able to offer local numbers for every single location. That’s what we’ve achieved.”
Joe Schiavone, Vice President of Sales for VoiceNation, is equally excited about the opportunity that this level of coverage presents to resellers. “With our hosted service, we deliver robust and comprehensive phone systems to our customers, and we can even provide disaster recovery services to keep businesses in action in the event of hurricanes, pandemics, or other disasters,” said Joe. “Local number coverage really was the last sticking point in terms of the viability of hosted communications. Now that we’ve ratcheted our coverage to this level, the sky really is the limit.”
